- Job Details
- Travelers who live within 50 miles of the facility will receive a local rate.
- Responsibilities include: Operates medical imaging equipment for diagnostic purposes.
- Responsible for choosing correct settings and directing patient to best positions for imaging.
- Consistently obtain high quality imaging for Radiologist interpretation.
- General understanding of PACS and its function.
- Documents patient care services by charting in patient and hospital records.
- Able to interact compassionately and effectively with the sick or injured.
- Ability to utilize specialized computerized equipment to produce cross sectional images.
- Aids Radiologists in diagnosing diseases and/or disorders.
- Job Requirements
- Operate medical imaging equipment.
- Prepare patients for ultrasound examinations and special procedures.
- Consult with radiologist for exam review prior to patient discharge.
- Provide ultrasound guidance for attending physicians in special procedures.
- Troubleshoot machine malfunctions and notify Clinical Engineering if needed.
- Verify orders and patient identification.
- Full operation of U/S units and probes.
- Obtain adequate imaging and correct labeling.
- Knowledge of and ability to utilize PACS system.
- Send images after hours when required.
- Show competence within EPIC.
- Perform high level disinfection of endocavity probes per policy.

- St. Joseph's can cancel up to 3 shifts per 13 week contract.
- Additional Details
- Traveler must reside outside the state of Maine.
- Up to 16 hours of orientation is unpaid.
