Technical Project Manager

Locations: Jacksonville, FL | Hybrid

We are seeking a highly-motivated Technical Project Manager to join our Professional Services Custom Engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development and project management, as well as excellent communication and organization skills.

As a Technical Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading custom software development projects from start to finish, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will work closely with clients to understand their business needs and technical requirements, and will be responsible for collaborating with a team of software developers to deliver solutions that meet those needs.

What You Will Get To Do: 

• Leading project planning and execution, including developing project schedules, budgets, and resource plans

• Communicating project status updates to stakeholders, including clients, team members, and management

• Managing project risks and issues, developing contingency plans as needed

• Coordinating with other internal teams and resources to deliver projects successfully

• Working closely with clients to understand their business needs and technical requirements, and translating those requirements into actionable tasks

• Ensuring that projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards

What You Will Bring: 

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

• 5+ years of experience in software development and project management

• Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) processes and methodologies

• Excellent communication and leadership skills

• Ability to work effectively in a team environment

• Proficiency in project management tools, such as JIRA and Asana

Recommended Strengths & Skills:

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C++, and Python (intermediate to advanced)

• Experience with project management methodologies, such as Agile, Scrum and Kanban

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently

• Strong customer service and client relationship management skills
