Your Roles and Responsibilities

What we would like to see

Responsibilities & Opportunities of the Role:

• Collaborate with product development, business analysts and software architects, data scientists, and machine learning engineers from other departments to plan, design, develop, test, and maintain new artificial intelligence systems.
• Create and maintain optimal data and model pipeline architecture
• Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements.
• Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.
• Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL and cloud-based ‘big data' technologies from AWS. Includes working in highly available, geographically dispersed systems.
• Work with stakeholders including the Executive, Product, Data, and Design teams to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs.
• Keep data separated and secure across national boundaries through multiple data centers and strategic customers/partners.
• Create tool chains for analytics and data scientist team members that assist them in building and optimizing our product into an innovative industry leader.
• Work with data and machine learning experts to strive for greater functionality in our data and model life cycle management systems.

Minimum Qualifications to Apply:

• 4+ years experience using the following software/tools:
  • Experience with relational SQL and NoSQL databases, including Postgres and Cassandra.
  • Experience with Data and Model pipeline and workflow management tools: Azkaban, Luigi, Airflow, Dataiku, etc.
  • Experience with stream-processing systems: Storm, Spark-Streaming, etc.
  • Strong Programming skills in Python & Python based frameworks such as Celery, Flask, Django, FAST API etc.
  • Experience in building V3 REST APIs
• 3+ years experience with big data systems and/or advanced analytics
• 3+ years of experience with production data pipelines and CICD
• Experience in AWS
• Good to have Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, etc.
• At least 4 years overall, combined software and services development experience.
• Experience with deployment and maintenance of SaaS applications and products.
• Familiarity With Graph Databases And Search technologies a plus.
• Experience in deploying applications in Kubernetes and AWS platform.
• Familiarity with machine learning frameworks (like Keras or PyTorch) and libraries (like scikit-learn)
• Familiarity with data pipelines and ML pipelines right from Data Extraction to Insights generation
• Familiarity with Databases such as Mongo, Graph (Neptune, Neo4j etc.) will be a plus.
• Good to have experience in development of microservices.
• BS, MS or PhD degree in Computer Science, Informatics, Information Systems or another related field.
• Advanced SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL) as well as working familiarity with a variety of other databases/date-sources.
• Experience building and optimizing ‘big data' data pipelines, architectures and data sets.
• Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and seek opportunities for improvement.
• Strong analytic skills related to working with unstructured datasets.
• Experience building processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency and workload management.
• Working knowledge of message queuing, stream processing, and highly scalable ‘big data' data stores.
• Intense intellectual curiosity – strong desire to always be learning
• Experience working with distributed global teams
• Ability to work with other Engineering leaders working on an inherited codebase and platform which is under refactoring
• Demonstrated experience presenting to business leaders
• Willingness to travel to the European Union and/or the United States once or twice a year
• Fluent in English
• Experience in a startups and/or corporate innovation team strongly recommended
• Experience with Financial Services is preferred but not required
