SS&C GIDS

SS&C is the largest global investor service provider, servicing more than 55 million investors. Continually investing in global technology and services across the spectrum of distribution channels including: Asset Managers, Financial Advisors, Wealth Managers and large financial institutions such as Banks and Insurers. Investor servicing is offered in many different countries, including the U.S., Canada, U.K., Ireland, Luxembourg, Australia, Hong Kong and Singapore. SS&C also services mutual fund structures in many other fund domiciles.

Global Investor and Distribution Solutions (GIDS) is the business unit offering this role. GIDS delivers global omni-channel investor servicing, including contact centre, using digital services.

About the Role

As a Technical Delivery Analyst, you'll be reporting to a Technical Delivery Lead and work closely together to oversee large scale infrastructure migration, microservices platform and data platform build. You'll engage closely with the delivery teams, delivery managers, project managers, release management team and more, across the globe, to enable ongoing software delivery to SS&C clients.

Your Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage infrastructure and platform-built projects, collaborate with the wider program team for demand and capacity planning.
  • Manage work allocation across delivery team as well as cross-team capacity planning.
  • Track, monitor, and report on allocated work and budgets, ensuring team forecasts and allocation reporting is kept up to date with PMO and actively monitor project actuals.
  • Manage external dependencies, risks, and issues, ensure timely escalations.
  • Manage Jira tasks, recording and reporting including appropriate status updates.
  • Triage defect allocation.
  • Promote and support Agile practices in the organization.

Your Experience

  • A person with excellent written and verbal communication, as well as excellent customer engagement skills.
  • A person with strategic and critical thinking, and proven ability to quickly understand complex business and infrastructure. 
  • A person with growth mind-set – someone who embrace challenges, adapt well to changes, proactive, be a problem solver, learn from experience, have the desire, and put the effort to develop self.
  • A team player who communicates and collaborate well with others. We are doing large scale software development with teams in different locations, communication and collaboration is crucial for success.
  • A person with willingness to travel internationally occasionally and work outside of local time zone hours as needed – because we are a global team. 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Management Information System or related field.
  • Has a comprehensive knowledge of both Waterfall and Agile development life cycles.
  • Experience with project management, understands the interdependencies of business processes and information systems and demonstrates ability to see the bigger picture.

Highly Desirable

  • Relevant certifications in project management i.e.: Prince2 or PMP
  • Agile certification.
  • Experience with Microservices and Cloud migration.
  • Has experience managing and delivering large scale infrastructure changes program at an organizational level across global geographies.
