What You Will Get To Do:

We are seeking a skilled Business Architect to support SS&C change initiatives. In this role, you will analyse client and stakeholder propositions, assess business models, and leverage our service capabilities to deliver exceptional outcomes. Using business architecture techniques, you will recommend innovative solutions aligned with organisational strategy, ensuring seamless alignment between client needs and our service offerings.

Please Note: This is a 12 Months Fixed Term Contract

  • Maintain and own comprehensive business architecture documentation for SS&C's strategic business models, ensuring architectural differences at the client level are documented and understood.
  • Collaborate with operational, technical, and product stakeholders to identify inefficiencies or opportunities for improvement and support the development of relevant business cases.
  • Evaluate and maintain the Target Operating Model (TOM) by creating and updating standard business architecture documentation.
  • Drive new business launches and complex change initiatives by developing and accessing business models, capabilities, and process maps to ensure a seamless transition from ideation to execution.
  • Provide business architecture consultancy and support for all change initiatives throughout the full delivery lifecycle.
  • Partner with solution architects and providers to ensure system designs align with the strategic business design, documenting and agreeing on any gaps in alignment.
  • Present design options effectively, engaging stakeholders to evaluate the benefits and drawbacks of various approaches.
  • Support pre-sales activities, including attending client-facing meetings as a subject matter expert to assist the sales team.
  • Lead and facilitate workshops and meetings, confidently presenting to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and product-specific developments to maintain expertise.
  • Build strong collaborative relationships, providing consultancy to internal and external stakeholders and representing SS&C professionally as required.
  • Undertake additional duties as needed, aligned with skills and capabilities, and as reasonably instructed.

What You Will Bring:

  • Over 7 years of experience in Financial Services, with a background in both business and technology roles, superannuation industry preferred.
  • Exceptional client-facing skills with the ability to build strong relationships and trust.
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills, fostering collaboration and teamwork.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, ensuring clarity and impact.
  • Skilled influencer and negotiator, adept at driving alignment and consensus.
  • Proven track record as a champion of change, effectively leading and adapting to transformations.
  • Highly self-motivated with a proactive approach to tasks and responsibilities.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to take ownership and drive initiatives.
  • A keen sense of accountability and commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes.
  • Skilled in managing relationships with multiple key technology providers and adapting to diverse operating models.

Desirable

  • Proficient in basic AS400 and SQL or equivalent technical skills.
  • Hands-on experience with Agile methodology and its practical application.
  • Proven experience working in a global organisation and collaborating virtually with cross-regional stakeholders.
