What You Will Get To Do:
• The role will be responsible for a broad spectrum of managerial tasks, including supervision and guidance for the client service team, client and personnel management, as well as supporting key business activities in growing our presence in the local market.
• Manage multiple fund relationships, including supervision of various client service teams ensuring meeting of all client deliverables
• Responsible for quality and timeline delivery of services to clients.
This includes:
1. Review fund governing documents, offering documents, subscription documents, side letters, and investment management agreements, to ensure proper application of fund terms
2. Review work paper files for accuracy and completeness, including capital activity, investment activity, income and expense accruals, valuation adjustments, etc.
3. Develop/maintain robust review procedures around deliverables
• Responsible for the supervision of team members under your charge and this includes:
1. Providing guidance and directions to staff on all technical and client-service-related topics
2. Develop and support targeted, continuing education for all direct reports
3. KPI setting, performance and career management
• Participate in new business discussions with prospects and existing clients
• Active participation in identifying and developing local opportunities and network through industry or proprietary marketing events
• Support corporate goals and business/departmental initiatives
What You Will Bring:
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
• 8+ years' experience in accounting, with a focus on alternative investments funds – Real Assets experience is required
• CPA designation a plus
Fluent in Japanese and Business level English.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of accounting, specifically with respect to alternative investment funds, with a focus on Real Asset funds.
• Knowledge of IFRS. Knowledge of other accounting standards is a plus.
• 5+ years' experience supervising a team of professional staff
• Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to multi-task
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, with advanced Excel skills
• Team player
