Qualifications
Required:
- Be enrolled in a Master's or PhD program in Bioinformatics, Biology, or related field with experience in Bioinformatics
- Willingness to learn program/organizational processes and procedures
- Creative thinking and strong problem solving skills
- Strong leadership, communications, and organizational skills
- The ability to delve into technical details and translate those into findings and recommendations
- U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain a DoD Secret or Top Secret clearance
Responsibilities
We are seeking a smart, energetic, and dedicated individual who is either an advanced undergraduate (declared major) or actively pursuing a Masters or PhD degree in Bioinformatics, Biology or a related field to work alongside an SPA mentor in support of data development and analysis for DTRA Research & Development programs. Experience in Bioinformatics is a must. The successful intern will be a quick learner and key contributor to analysis, projects, presentations and discussions.
This internship is primarily in office work with occasional telework allowed. Timeline for this job opportunity: We are currently accepting applications for this paid internship and will make offers contingent on the ability to obtain a DoD Security Clearance for a summer 2025 start date.
