- REQUIRED EDUCATION: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: One year of professional nursing experience in a hospital setting preferred
- OBJECTIVE SUMMARY: Provides professional nursing care for hospital patients and outpatients following established standards and practices. Assesses patient health problems and needs, develop and implement nursing care plans, and maintain medical records. Serves as a role model, leader, and bedside care coordinator of the multidisciplinary team providing patient care. As a professional caregiver the RN is responsible and accountable for a group of patients for a designated time frame.

- Does not directly manage or supervise, but works in coordination with CNAs, LPNs, and Unit Clerks
- Demonstrates dependability/flexibility in meeting scheduling needs of the unit and hospital.
