Position Summary:

The Supervisor, Sales SEC is responsible for providing direct assistance, training, and sales support to SEC Sales Associates, customers, students, and SIG SAUER employees. This role is focused on delivering the best service to our customers as well as providing direction to staff. Clearly communicates, provides in-the-moment coaching, and builds trust with teammates. The Supervisor, Sales SEC also collaborates and aids the SEC management, SEC retail & range staff, and Academy staff to provide the support that will align with corporate marketing and sales initiatives on and off site to ultimately result in the successful operation of the SEC (SIG Experience Center). Creates an inclusive store environment where everyone (associates & customers) feels welcome, safe, and are treated with respect.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical assistance to staff and issue resolution on SIG SAUER firearms and products while creating a win/win scenario for both the customer and SIG SAUER.
  • Maintain a clean, professional appearance and atmosphere.
  • Ensures the store is in grand open condition at the beginning and end of every shift.
  • Partners with the training team to put on classes directed at specific topics aimed at elevating the knowledge base of the sales team.
  • Train staff to upsell and promote merchandise, accessories, Academy training, and services.
  • Manages a team of 8-10 direct reports and responsible for producing Revenue and Membership targets.
  • Abide by all ATF regulations/compliance policies and procedures.
  • Ensuring the opening and closing duties of the SEC are completed.
  • Keep direct and open communication between management and the SEC staff.
  • Responsible for assisting in managing the day-to-day operational aspects of their store.
  • Help design layouts and plan-o-grams for new merchandise and teach proper merchandising standards.
  • Travel to offsite events, manage and support traveling staff, POS systems, and goods.
  • Maintains and validates margin reporting post sales.
  • Maintains and trains staff on the mobile POS system.
  • Holds team accountable for company brand, merchandising, and presentation standards.
  • Supports building a strong team as well as training associates on company. procedures and programs; this includes new associate training and cross-training current team.
  • Leads new employee onboarding and serves as a guide for their first few weeks.
  • Provide forecasting of new Products based on market research.
  • All other duties assigned by the SEC Store and Assistant/Inventory manager.

Education/Experience & Skills:

  • Bachelors preferred or equivalent experience in retail or personnel leadership.
  • Must have a minimum of 2-5 years retail experience, preferably in the sporting goods or firearms retail environment.
  • Must possess proficient abilities to manage personnel, budgets, and retail operations.
  • Ability to provide clear and executable direction and instruction with minimal oversite.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Excellent computer skills and Proficiency in MS Office applications.

Working Conditions:

  • Ability to open file cabinets, reach with hands and arms, bend, and twist, lift and move files.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to be on feet for full 8-hour shift.
  • Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) where required.
  • Must comply with all work exposure EH&S training requirements and adhere to SIG SAUER Inc. Security Mandates.
