THE OPPORTUNITY:

The potential impact of artificial intelligence, automation, and related technology is currently the subject of enormous discussion within the legal industry. Seyfarth Labs is the home of our technology innovation team, where we explore and test these emerging technologies to transform how our teams work and how our clients experience the delivery of legal services. As a Robotic Process Automation (RPA) Solutions Engineer, you will analyze existing business processes, identify potential improvement opportunities utilizing automated technology solutions, and develop recommendations to successfully implement those improvements.

 

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

On any given day, as a Robotic Process Automation (RPA) Solutions Engineer, you will be responsible for the support and development of automation solutions using RPA technologies. You will: 

  • Work with other Seyfarth Labs team members to execute RPA initiatives by analyzing and designing process workflows, building, testing, implementing RPA solutions
  • Design, develop and configure simple, medium to complex robotic process automations per business process and requirements documentation
  • Gather business specifications and technical requirements, and translate them into robotic solutions creating well structured, maintainable and easy to understand Solution Design Document (SDD)
  • Schedule and run RPA processes to ensure stability of environment
  • Provide Level 1 support to the digital workforce
  • Develop reusable components, scripts, and framework for efficiency
  • Manage multiple projects concurrently, juggling priorities, deadlines and essential duties for each project
 

YOU HAVE:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in computer science or other technical discipline
  • 1-2 years of experience in business-facing IT role or business/process analytics role
  • Experience with RPA related technologies (Blue Prism preferred)
  • Ability to interact with web services and API's
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies and methodologies for RPA development and project management
  • Ability to work both independently and in diverse teams with minimal supervision
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to distill complex concepts into simple messages across multiple teams and leadership
  • Experience in AI/Machine Learning/Cognitive automation a plus

Chicago, IL: The full time salary range for this role is $68,000 to $80,000 annually, which is based on a 40 hour work week.

 

This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role in the locations listed above at the time of this posting. An employee's pay within the salary range will be based on numerous factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, geographical location and business or organizational needs. This job is also eligible for an annual merit increase and bonus pay.
