This position is a predictive hire for an upcoming expansion.
POSITION PURPOSE:
The Level 2 Electronic Tech position purpose is to provide the plant with the technical expertise to drive process improvement. In this role, the technician will interface with operations daily, will support SPS Kaizen events, and will be provided flexibility and autonomy to work with operators to improve process performance. This position will be able to provide turnkey process improvement projects. From start to finish, the technician will be able to purchase parts, install, program, and validate the process. This position will provide productivity, quality, and capacity improvements within the Logan facility through control systems optimization, maintenance automation training, production support, and execution of capital projects. This position will train and develop personalized training for the electronic technician team.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Improve production efficiency and uptime through identification and implementation of controls optimization opportunities.
· Proactively monitor and maintain plant control systems including: network health, controller functionality, and obsolesce management.
· Provide electrical and controls support for capital projects executed at the plant site.
· Manage and oversee performance of electrical and engineering contractors.
· Coach and train plant maintenance team members on electrical automation topics.
· Together with other members of the plant leadership team, ensure compliance with Technical Standards, Food and Human Safety Requirements, Food Quality plans, and customer requirements at all times.
SKILLS:
· Must be able to perform at the described skill level in order to attain and retain the level certification. Continued learning to achieve certification or required skills and abilities as dictated by company needs are required to attain and retain level certification.
· The ability to communicate with leadership, vendors, contractors, other maintenance partners, line operators via phone, fax, email, text, and person-to-person.
Minimum Requirements- Pass Level 2 Electronic Ramsey test
- 3 - 5 Years Electronic Technician Experience
- Highschool Diploma/G.E.D
Preferred Requirements
- 3+ Industrial Maintenance Experience
Schedule/Shifts
This position is a 12 hour night shift position, rotating 7 on, 7 off.
Hours are 6:15pm- 6:15am
Holidays are required as needed
Overtime is available as needed
Only those wishing to work holidays, overtime and weekends should apply.

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds consistently throughout shift
Ability to bend, squat, twist, and stoop, climb steps/ ladders
Must be able to see color to discern color-coded wiring.
