SAIC is looking for a talented Trade Show Manager to join the marketing team to lead and manage mid and large-scale trade shows. This is a unique opportunity to join a highly creative and evolving team during an exciting organization transformation. With new leadership in place, we are engaging with internal and external stakeholders in increasingly meaningful new ways. Primary areas of responsibility include providing trade show management to the Air Force, Space, and Intel Business Groups. As a trade show manger, you will be responsible to project manage multiple trade shows at one time, collaborate with cross functional teams regarding all show planning, show objectives, booth design, graphic development, and demonstrate ROI. The environment is fast-paced and dynamic. In this role, you will have ability to be a trusted resource to marketing and business development. You will work with a marketing organization who loves to collaborate, comes to work with a positive attitude and has a strong work ethic. This is a remote opportunity. Responsibilities:- Strong trade show and project management skills, ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, meet deadlines, and handle unexpected challenges that may arise during trade show planning.
- Ability to work with external vendors daily regarding multiple projects at one time.
- Onsite management for trade shows and special events.
- Work with Director of Marketing on trade show objectives, brand/ messaging, demo selection, lead capture and ROI.
- Work with Director of Marketing on business group process improvements for event/sponsorship payments, charge number allocations, and project planning.
- Manage, track and process payments for business group trade shows.
- Manage multiple business group trade shows at one time – ensure all shows meet defined show objectives, meet all deadlines, and stay within the planned budget.
- Partner with exhibit agency on booth design, booth requirements, booth proposal, graphic development, and budget.
- Coordinate and lead trade show team calls with your business development team, send out team meeting notes post meeting, track all deliverables.
- Manage and update planning brief for trade shows – updates to be made daily if required.
- Collaborate with the creative and brand team on trade show and booth creative, art specifications and deadlines.
- Manage special events and/or meeting room logistics aligned to trade show – responsibilities to include catering, graphics, AV, IT, room set, payments, and site visits if required.
- Manage and track registration and housing for respective trade shows and events.
- Build strong relationships with associations and sponsoring event organizations.
- Support various Corporate Tier One trade shows – responsibilities could include team registration, hotel room blocks, customer events, team attire and onsite management.
- Send out post show survey and conduct post show after action review.
- Follow all company policies and guidelines to include but not limited to brand guidelines, procurement/payment guidelines, FAR, ethics compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree in marketing, communications, hospitality, event management, exhibit management, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in marketing/trade show.
- Trade show/exhibit management experience a must.
- Defense background highly preferred.
- Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Database management.
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication, customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and build relationships.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work for all stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving Abilities: Proactive problem-solving skills to identify potential issues and find creative solutions in a fast-paced environment.
Target salary range: $40,001 - $80,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
