Seeking a strategic and analytical System Engineer with a diverse skill set encompassing requirement development, portfolio service management, system architecture, engineering workflow optimization, technical process improvement, and DevSecOps practices. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in managing the overall technical portfolio, ensuring alignment with business objectives, and leading the transition of projects from concept to deployment with the highest standards of security.
Key Responsibilities:

Requirement Development: Generate, capture, and maintain a comprehensive set of system requirements. Ensure clarity, traceability, and validation of requirements throughout the project lifecycle. (i.e. DOORS)

Portfolio Service Management: Manage the service portfolio, ensuring alignment with stakeholder needs and strategic objectives. Provide oversight across projects, optimizing resource allocation and prioritization.

System Architecture: Develop and maintain robust system architecture frameworks to support scalable, secure, and efficient solutions. Advocate for forward-thinking architectural principles and practices.

Engineering Workflow: Streamline and enhance engineering workflows through the integration of Lean and Agile principles, with a focus on cross-disciplinary collaboration and iterative progress.

Technical Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies and lead continuous improvement initiatives within technical processes, applying methodologies such as Six Sigma and Kaizen for sustained performance enhancement.

DevSecOps: Integrate security into the DevOps pipeline, ensuring that security considerations are embedded from inception through to operations, via continuous integration and continuous delivery methodologies.
Qualifications
Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years' experience in system engineering roles with a focus on requirements management, system architecture, and process improvement.

Demonstrated success in Portfolio Service Management, balancing a portfolio of projects and aligning them with business strategy and priorities.

Expert knowledge in developing and maintaining complex system architectures, including the utilization of MBSE techniques. (DoDAF, SysML 2.0)

experience with Agile, Lean, and DevOps practices, and the ability to foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Proficiency with DevSecOps tools and culture, with an emphasis on building security into the development lifecycle.

Strong analytical, leadership, and decision-making skills.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Ability to hold or currently holding a security clearance is highly desirable.
Preferred Additional Qualifications:

Industry-recognized certifications in Agile, DevSecOps, PMP, INCOSE CSEP, or equivalent.

Experience with leading portfolio and service management software (e.g., ServiceNow, JIRA Align).

Prior experience in a high-stakes, security-focused environment such as defense, aerospace, or government sectors.
Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
