SAIC is hiring a Senior Test Engineer for a contract supporting the FAA in Washington DC. This position is remote and the applicant can reside anywhere within the U.S. but must be able to travel to SAIC facilities (Reston, VA and Washington D.C.) and FAA customer facilities (Washington, D.C. and Atlantic City, NJ) on an as-needed basis.

Responsibilities:

• Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs application software.
• Conducts analysis and collaborates with subject matter experts in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for information storage, processing, presentation, manipulation, display, or reporting.
• End product may be special use, customized, or commercial software.
• Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops autonomous services, desktop applications, web applications, scripts, and utility programs. Ensures compliance with software standards.
• Develops technical solutions to complex problems, which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity.

This position is contingent upon contract award.

Qualifications

• B.S. in a degree in related field
• 9 or more years of relevant experience.
• Preferred familiarity with AWS, XML, HTML or similar web technologies.
• Preferred familiarity with databases (Aurora, Oracle, Access, etc).
• Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust. 

Desired: 

• Preferred software design/test certifications, such as but not limited to:  Scrum, Agile, DevSecOps, ITIL, AWS, etc.

Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
