SAIC seeks a Senior Consultant – Digital Transformation Lead for the Mission Advisory (MA) practice based in Reston, Virginia. Our MA practice serves government civilian agency clients by providing strategic planning through practical implementation support to solve their most complex and challenging mission obstacles. These obstacles range from risk mitigation for their digital transformation journeys to supporting the implementation of innovative digital services. As Senior Consultant, you will work closely with the SAIC's Civilian Business Group and lead a practice team with deep industry and mission expertise, analytical abilities and a pragmatic mindset, embracing the role of a big-picture thinker who connects the dots and anticipates what's next. This role will involve unanticipated travel to SAIC office locations and client sites nationwide, as you help direct our clients through their most critical business and operational obstacles, while demonstrating professional and personal growth. In this role you will primarily be supporting one of our Treasury clients:

  • Designs, develops and oversees digital systems architecture using classic and cloud native architectures such a microservices, containerization and API-First design methods.
  • Ensure conversion of mission requirements into total systems solutions that account for design and technology maturity constraints of the system.
  • Develops systems and sub system architecture, design, and interface definition.
  • Maintains knowledge of current/growing design and analysis methodologies, emerging technologies for incubation and implementation. Develops models and architectural guidelines for current and future system development.
  • Design and implement cloud-based solutions, distributed systems and data analytics services using Google Cloud services such as Document AI and Cloud Vision OCR
  • Serves as one of the focal points for Agile based software development and communication of the system architecture within Agile teams and client stakeholders.
  • Support solution architecture for RFIs, RFPs and drives the development of technical solutions on proposals when needed.
  • Participates in large system and subsystem planning and designs and codes software components, units, and modules that meet product specification and development schedules.
  • Adheres to product build and release schedules and strategies and acts as a technical resource for lower-level developers.
  • Provides technical leadership to other developers and engineers on the team and ensures software check-ins, builds and deployments are done properly
  • Analyzes functional and system level epics, features and use stories, tasks and supports product road mapping, release planning and leads the feature development sprints
  • Performs a variety of complicated tasks with a wide degree of creativity and latitude and relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Works with the developers and systems engineers to solve critical problems and identify efficiencies in implementing technical and functional requirements and tasks.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree or advanced degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or other related discipline and 5 years of related experience. May accept an additional 4 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Must have 1+ years of advisory/consulting experience.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Proven experience as an IT Consultant or in a similar role is must.
  • Technical expertise in various IT areas preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients and technical teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks.
  • Must have SDLC and Cloud experience
  • Must have Lead experience
  • Ability to travel up to 15-25% on average, based on the work you do and the clients you serve.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Certifications (e.g., ITIL, CISSP, CompTIA, PMP, Cloud, CSM) preferred.
