We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Program Control Associate to join our talented team. In this role, you will participate in the planning, tracking analysis, and reporting on projects of varying contract type, size, complexity, and level of risk. You will also contribute to financial policies and procedures, and maintain cost/schedule baselines.

Work is performed on site in Norfolk, VA and Virginia Beach, VA.

This position is contingent upon award news Spring of 2026.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the planning, tracking analysis, and reporting on projects of varying contract type, size, complexity, and level of risk.
  • Contribute to financial policies and procedures in support of projects.
  • Maintain cost/schedule baselines.
  • Knowledge of WBS and related dictionaries, schedules or Resource Loaded Networks (RLN's) and budgets.
  • Contribute to Earned Value methodologies and perform related variance analyses.
  • Contribute to written and verbal reports to management regarding cost schedule variances.
  • Interface with Project Managers, Contracts, Senior Technical Personnel, as well as other organizations.
  • Participate in new business proposals through schedule and RLN support, providing input and cost volumes to management.
  • Provide technical assistance in the preparation of annual budgets.
  • Examine budget estimates or proposals for completeness, accuracy, and conformance with established procedures, regulations, and organizational objectives.
  • Employ cost-benefit analysis to review financial requests, assess program tradeoffs, and explore alternative funding methods.
  • Examine past and current budgets and research economic and financial developments that affect the organization's spending.
  • Assist in tracking budgets, costs, and variances.
  • Interpret and apply financial management principles.
  • Apply financial management processes, techniques, policies, regulations and organizational strategic goals.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and 0-2 years of professional experience.
  • Proficiency in financial software (e.g., ERP systems, accounting software).
  • Basic understanding of SQL or data query languages.
  • Familiarity with spreadsheet applications (Microsoft Excel).
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to interpret financial data and identify anomalies.
  • Critical thinking to evaluate system performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Effective communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to clearly explain complex financial data and system issues.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Teamwork and collaboration.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles.
  • Adaptability to changing business needs and system updates.

Required Security Clearance:

  • US Citizenship required.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance.
    • Active Interim Secret or final Secret clearance is preferred.
