We are seeking a skilled and highly motivated Nutanix Administrator to manage and optimize our Nutanix storage infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Nutanix storage solutions, a deep understanding of hyper-converged infrastructure (HCI), and a relevant storage certification. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring the efficiency, availability, and scalability of our storage environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage, monitor, and maintain Nutanix storage clusters, including deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Perform regular health checks, updates, and optimizations of the Nutanix storage environment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (network, server, and storage) to ensure seamless integration and high availability of storage systems.
- Configure and manage storage policies, data protection, and disaster recovery solutions within Nutanix.
- Monitor system performance, analyze storage metrics, and provide recommendations for improvements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any storage-related issues, including hardware failures, network latency, and capacity planning.
- Ensure backup and disaster recovery (DR) procedures are properly configured and tested.
- Maintain accurate documentation of storage configurations, changes, and incident resolutions.
- Stay up to date with Nutanix releases and best practices to ensure efficient use of resources.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Must have a Secret level security clearance or higher with the eligibility to gain a TS/SCI.
- Bachelor's degree with 9 years experience, or equivalent work experience can be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Proven experience working with Nutanix storage solutions, including Nutanix HCI (Hyperconverged Infrastructure).
- Hands-on experience with Nutanix storage features such as Nutanix AOS (Acropolis Operating System), Nutanix Prism, and Nutanix Volumes.
- Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and how they integrate with Nutanix storage.
- In-depth understanding of storage management concepts, including SAN, NAS, and iSCSI protocols.
- Familiarity with data protection and backup strategies for Nutanix environments.
- Proficient in system monitoring and troubleshooting using Nutanix tools and third-party solutions.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
Certifications:
- CompTIA Security+ Certificate is required.
- Nutanix Certified Associate (NCA) or higher related certificate with Nutanix is highly desired. (or the ability to obtain it within 6 months).
- VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or VMware Certified Advanced Professional (VCAP) (preferably with a focus on storage or virtualization).
- CompTIA Storage+ or EMC Proven Professional (optional but relevant).
Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
