SAIC is looking for an Engineering Technician IV to support the U.S. Navy in Crane, IN.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Workload supports AEA division Electro-Mechanical repair and Machining support for multiple DoD Systems across all NSWC Divisions.
- Works from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform testing, checkout and trouble-shooting functions.
- Assists in determining methods or actions to remedy malfunctions. Collects, maintains, organizes, compiles, and manipulates technical data.
- Supports engineering activities such as design, test, checkout, modification, fabrication and assembly of electro mechanical systems.
- Prepare inputs for test plans/Review test plans and procedures
- Conduct or monitor system, subsystem, equipment or component testing
- Analyze test results/determine valid recommendations and conclusions based on test data.
- Assist in design modification by compiling data related to design, specifications, and materials that are pertinent to specific items of equipment or component parts; develop information concerning previous operational failures and modifications and use judgment and initiative to recognize inconsistencies or gaps in data and seek sources to clarify information.
Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS
- Associate's Degree and at least 4 years of related experience or High School Diploma and 6 years of related experience
- Must be able to obtain a Secret Security Clearance; Interim Secret needed to start
- Must be U.S. citizen
- Must be able to work from schematics and engineering drawings
DESIRED
- Soldering experience preferred, but not required
