Job Summary: We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Engineering Technician I to join our talented team. In this role, you will perform routine tasks under close supervision or following detailed procedures. Your work will be checked in progress or upon completion. As an entry-level technician, you will perform one or a combination of the following typical duties below.
Work is performed on site in Norfolk, VA and Virginia Beach, VA.
This position is contingent upon award news Spring of 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble or install equipment or parts that require simple wiring, soldering, or connecting.
- Perform simple or routine tasks or tests, such as tensile or hardness tests, operate and adjust basic test equipment, and record test data.
- Gather and maintain specified records of engineering data, such as tests and drawings, perform computations by substituting numbers in specified formulas, and plot data to draw simple curves and graphs.
- Develop technical skills in a supportive and structured environment.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Associate Degree in Electronics, Electrical, Engineering Technology, or similar; and 0-2 years of professional experience.
- Or High School diploma/GED and three (3) years of practical experience, to include: laboratory testing, manufacturing, or maintenance.
- Or High School diploma/GED and three (3) years of practical experience, to include: laboratory testing, manufacturing, or maintenance.
- Demonstrated communication and organizational skills.
Required Security Clearance:
- US Citizenship required.
- Must possess or be able to obtain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance.
- Active Interim Secret or final Secret clearance is preferred.
