SAIC is looking an Electrical Engineer to support the US Navy in Crane, IN.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Focuses on the design, development, acquisition and fielding of ordnance T&E consoles and support equipment.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Produce firmware in accordance with industry standard safety guidelines and best practices,
- Implement and analyze communications between micro-controllers and other applicable devices, and
- Review firmware for compliance with safety requirements, hazard and probable analysis, fault tolerances and maintainability.
- Technical experience in electronics engineer areas such as Analog and digital circuit design, including specific topics like power supplies, op amps, transistor biasing and high voltage generation and protection; schematic design and PCB layout; troubleshooting of electronics using standard and custom measurement equipment such as oscilloscopes, function generators, and hi-pot testers.
Qualifications
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND CLEARANCE:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical Engineer discipline and zero (0) or more years' experience.
- Experience with Firmware Development for safety critical applications.
- Knowledge and the ability in areas of low-level assembly programming of PIC controllers, standard programming hardware to program and troubleshoot micro-controllers.
- Understand and account for hardware/software interactions.
- Experience with general software development and associated practices.
- Familiarly with high level program languages, revision control, coding standards, and the design review process, labview, Linux, CAD.
- Interim secret required to start with ability to obtain a Secret Clearance. SAIC will sponsor the clearance process.
- US Citizenship required
