Make a difference for national security by joining a team of dedicated professionals in supporting the Space Development Agency (SDA) in developing and deploying the Battle Management Command, Control, and Communications (BMC3) software development and hosting environment for the Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture (PWSA) in Secret Impact Level 6 environment.  These systems establish software development capabilities to securely and rapidly field mission applications developed by BMC3 ecosystem participants in support of Joint All Domain Command and Control (JADC2) objectives.

SAIC has an immediate need for a BMC3 Systems Administrator DevSecOps experience.  We are looking for an innovative and motivated individual at an SAIC facility in Huntsville, AL and Grand Forks, ND to e facilitates the USAF and USA's efforts to migrate applications to a cloud environment, allowing the closure of data centers to support the Data Center Optimization Initiative (DCOI) and allowing for increased efficiencies across the entire spectrum of the USAF and USA's IT Space operations. The candidate for this position will work primarily with impact level 6 (IL6) information and need to be in the local vicinity of – Redstone Arsenal, Grand Forks, ND, Hanscom AFB, Charleston SC or Gunter AFB. Other locations with access to an IL6 facility could be acceptable.

Job Description: 

·      Oversee the execution of security measures called out in the security plan to include timely scans of network resources and software patches.

·      Incident response, digital forensics, loss prevention, and eDiscovery actions.  Includes security control design and solution planning at the system, mission, and enterprise level, security-in-depth/defense-in-depth, and other related IAM/ISSO/ISSE support functions.

·      Remediate finding by leveraging and enhancing Cloud One Infrastructure as Code (IAC)

·      Responsible for daily system monitoring, security, SW Factory Cloud health, resources, and log management of AWS systems.

·      Troubleshooting and performing root cause analysis. This includes troubleshooting all issues with Cloud system configurations, backups, files systems, and user access.

·      Interface with engineers, systems engineers, and subject matter experts

·      Troubleshoot networking, and software problems in multi-node environment.

·      Ability to use automation software provisioning, configuration management, and application deployment functionality.

·      Create and maintain software documentation and updates.

·      Work with a highly technical team to scope new Feature for the BMC3 SW Factory (AppFac).

·      Support docker desktop containers and services such as Kubernetes.

·      Administrator of Images for Operation for Apps (images may be RHEL, Ubuntu, etc images)

·      Experience with Agile, Scrum, SAFe or other modern software development methods/practices.

Qualifications

Required Education:

·       Bachelor's and nine (9) years or more experience; master's with five years' experience

Required Skills: 

  • Knowledge of DoD Policies and procedures including DoD 8500.01 and DoD 8510.01
  • Experience with Risk Management Framework (RMF) and updating of security artifacts.
  • Experience with compliance verification methods including DISA STIG, SRGs, and best practices.
  • Experience with DevSecOps
  • Knowledge of the DoD suite of security tools including ACAS, STIG Viewer, Endpoint Security, etc.
  • Strong understanding of and experience with server environments (Linux/Windows), virtualization technologies, and cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar for automation of administrative tasks.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Visio

·       Experience with Gitlab Runners, Platform One infrastructure, and utilization Ironbank.

·       Knowledge of Cloud-to-On Prem architecture deployments.

Required Certification:

·       CompTIA Security+ certification at time of start

 

 Desired Skills & Certifications: 

  • Applicant must have experience with the application of DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) to operating systems and network devices.
  • Experience with Agile, Scrum, SAFe or other modern software development methods/practices.
  • Experience supporting USAF or USA software development projects.
  • Knowledge of DESMF
  • (ISC)2 CISSP, CompTIA CASP, or other cybersecurity certification preferred.

Clearance:

·       US Citizen 

·       Must be able to obtain an Active TS/SCI security clearance.

 A minimum of an Interim Secret clearance will be required to begin work
