SAIC seeks a highly experienced and energetic Configuration & Data Management Analyst to support the US Space Force, Space Systems Command, in performing operational maintenance and sustainment of ground-based radars critical to U.S. and Allied strategic missile surveillance, warning, defense, and space surveillance missions, located in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

In support of the government customer, the SAIC Program Manager (PM), and the Chief Engineer (CE) is seeking a Configuration & Data Management Analyst to perform critical data management functions using our Project Lifecycle Management (PLM) Technical Baseline tool.

Job Duties:

  • The Configuration & Data Management Analyst role involves ensuring that Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL)/Data Accession List (DAL) deliverables are actioned, tracked, and responded to within assigned deadlines per Form 1423 CDRL and PWS requirements.
  • Provide input and recommendations for developing and implementing configuration and data management systems.
  • Review, track, update, and archive CDRLs, DALs, configuration control documents that can include Specifications, Technical Order redlines, Drawings, Interface Control Documents (ICDs), and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), Process documents, etc.
  • Offer expertise in planning, execution, and control of configuration management, status accounting, data management, and standardization.
  • Utilize data management systems such as SharePoint/GMASS Connect (VIPR), Jira, Confluence, Aras applications to support technical data management.
  • Coordinate with the various GMASS teams to enhance CDRL/DAL review efficiency and support Configuration Management (CM) activities when required.
  • Assist in documenting and tracking all aspects of system development and modifications.
  • Maintains the GMASS data repository for CDRL/DAL.
  • Maintain Configuration and Data Management Plan (CMP) keeping it current with changes and new developments.
  • Prepares deviations/waivers for customer approval when specifications cannot be met.
  • Reviews all deliverables for accuracy, completeness, and consistency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree and five plus (5+) years; master's degree and three plus (3+) years; PhD and zero plus (0+) years related experience in configuration management specifically for missile warning or other national security space mission systems. 
  • Active Secret Clearance.
  • Understanding of configuration and data administration and associated management functions.
  • Experience with data or intellectual property rights for technical data, data delivery, storage, management, and the use of data.
  • Highly organized and knowledgeable on document creation, technical edits, formatting, and grammar checking.
  • Ability to align or realign deliverables with program needs/outcomes.
  • Experience implementing, developing, and documenting CM/DM procedures.
  • Experience with CDRL/DAL management.
  • Knowledge of Mil-HDBK-61B, DoD 5010.12 and/or EIA-649-1 guiding principles.
  • Experience working across multiple levels of network classifications and environments. 

Desired:

  • Experience using PLM tool Aras Innovator.
  • Experience sustaining UEWR, or other Strategic Warning and Surveillance radar systems such as the Perimeter Acquisition Radar Attack Characterization System (PARCS).
  • Experience with Jira and Confluence.
  • Understanding of DoD documentation.

Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
