Seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Systems Engineering Lead / Security Engineer with specialized expertise in Anti-Tamper (AT) and Program Protection within the Department of Defense (DoD). The ideal candidate will provide subject matter expertise and leadership in developing technical roadmaps, guiding engineering teams, and ensuring the protection of technology, components, and critical information in alignment with DoD strategies and policies. The position demands a proactive approach to system security, with a significant focus on implementing robust Anti-Tamper measures.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and direct technical engineering teams to achieve program objectives while maintaining compliance with DoD protection requirements.
- Serve as the primary lead reviewer for technical artifacts, ensuring they meet required standards and embody Anti-Tamper principles.
- Plan, review, and host critical design reviews such as System Requirements Review (SRR), Preliminary Design Review (PDR), Critical Design Review (CDR), Test Readiness Review (TRR), etc.
- Act as the primary point of contact (POC) for customer engineering teams, establishing clear communication channels and collaborative relationships.
- Lead the implementation of system designs using Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies to ensure that all technical requirements are properly integrated and maintained throughout the lifecycle of the project.
- Oversee the design process for exportability, ensuring compliance with U.S. government technology transfer and export control regulations, as well as aligning with international partner requirements.
- Provide technical direction to suppliers, ensuring that subcontracted components or systems meet all technical, security, and Anti-Tamper requirements, and are delivered in alignment with the overarching technical roadmap and milestones.
- Develop comprehensive protection plans across DoD programs, encompassing Program and Systems Protection and Anti-Tamper strategies.
- Engage directly with SAIC leadership and government customers to design, implement, and refine policy and processes pertinent to system protection.
- Assist in the selection of appropriate tools and software for system architecting and modeling that enhance system security and integrate Anti-Tampering measures effectively.
- Utilize systems engineering expertise to define and execute an approach that maximizes protection for DoD assets.
- Exhibit a strong understanding and hands-on experience as a subject matter expert in Anti-Tamper methodologies and techniques.
Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree with a minimum of eighteen (18) years of experience, Master's degree with sixteen (16) years of experience, or a PhD or JD with fifteen years or more experience in a relevant field.
- Demonstrable experience working with Anti-Tamper initiatives within the DoD environment.
- Possess a robust Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) background, with hands-on experience in Hardware and Software Protection Methodologies.
- Must be able to work remotely with the ability to travel up to 25% to various locations as required by the job.
- US Citizenship with an active Secret clearance and the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
Target salary range: $160,001 - $200,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
