Title: Nurse II - Chemo-Infusion Nurse Company: Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center Department: Ambulatory Services - Infusion Time Type: Full time Weekly Hours: 37.5

0.9375 Summary: Responsibilities of the chemotherapy and infusion trained nurse include the following: Competency in chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and biotherapy regimens to include administration, management of side effects, and reactions; Assessment of a patient's condition and implementing plan of care; Monitor and documentation of vital signs and assessments; Providing education for patient and family pertaining to drug therapies; Competency pertaining to infusion and transfusion therapies; Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure patient care needs are met and supported in an outpatient setting; Acting as patient advocates; BLS required; Chemotherapy and immunotherapy certification required to maintain, and course offered upon start.

Total combined salary range for Nurse II's is $90,849 -107,192 annually which includes a comprehensive benefits package.

License Requirement
License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York.
Education and Experience
1. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time oncology nursing experience; or
2. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time critical care experience; or
3. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and the equivalent of three (3) years of full-time medical-surgical experience in an acute care setting; or
4. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing, the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time medical-surgical experience in an acute care setting and completion of Roswell Park nursing orientation with the ability to function independently at a satisfactory level for three (3) months (full-time) as a Nurse I at Roswell Park.

NOTES:
1. Incumbents will serve a one (1) year full-time probationary period as a Nurse II.
2. Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

The preferred candidate will have good IV skills, competency of PICC and port access; OCN certification and Ambulatory Oncology Knowledge.
