The Division Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations of an assigned group of convenience stores and gasoline stations for a specified region of United Pacific's operations (approximately 60 to 90 locations). The Division Manager is principally responsible for cultivating, developing, and maintaining the highest levels of retail standards, developing and managing a team of district managers and developing and executing strategies to drive process improvements and increase sales. Critical to the role will be establishing a culture of being an industry leader in all categories and markets where United Pacific competes. The Division Manager is responsible for driving sales for his or her region, making recommendations to the Category Management and Merchandize teams, ensuring the store teams are empowered to drive sales and improve customer experience, and to lead by example in embracing change and owning results

Prior experience in the c-store industry is not required. Those with strong experience managing District Managers in a multi-unit environment, in quick service restaurant or other areas of retail, are encouraged to apply.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Lead team of six to eight District Managers within a geographic region indulging; establishing goals, expectations, and benchmarks for District Managers and holding them accountable for results by providing coaching and feedback through observation and evaluation, provide development opportunities which enables employees to grow in their position and with the company.
- Supervises, directs and coaches District Managers in the areas of operations, marketing and merchandising, human resources, expense management, cash and inventory control, safety, security and regulatory compliance leading them to be well rounded retail leaders.
- Identify opportunities to drive sales and develop plans to increase overall performance in all product categories.
- Identify and implement plans to manage controllable costs and partner with other division leaders to drive performance improvements across the business.
- Establish a strong working relationship with Support Center Personnel including Human Resources, Maintenance, Category Management, Merchandizing, Environmental Compliance, Accounting, Price Book, Marketing, IT and others.
- Profit and Loss responsibility for all facilities within the division.
- Effectively monitor and identify opportunities to optimize site level expenses including labor, maintenance, utilities, supplies, etc.
- Ensure cash and inventory controls are in place and exceptions appropriately managed.
- Use PDI data and other financial information to extract, evaluate and act upon all applicable information relevant to assigned locations.
- Create and implement, with guidance from the support center team, site-specific merchandising strategies including the execution of promotions, pricing, plan-o-grams and schematics, resets and remodels.
- Coordinate and direct the team to develop long and short-term plans, objectives (i.e. target margins) and budgets.
- Develop, revise, communicate, and implement budget for United Pacific as applicable within retail store operations.
- Through self, staff, and other resources, explore, evaluate, and implement methods, systems, and procedures to resolve issues and effectively achieve operational or legal compliance.
- Formulate guidelines and strategies on the use of improved customer satisfaction to drive an effective foodservice program.
- Direct and support all levels of store associates in the division through an attitude of leading by example and driving results through ownership.
- Support field personnel with effective tools that enable them to create a mindset of continuous improvement and positive, productive attitudes that will foster profitable growth for the employee, company, and operator.
- Performs other duties or projects as assigned by management.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum ten years of demonstrated high volume multi-unit management experience in company-operated retail fuel, convenience store or QSR channel is required.
- Bachelor's Degree in associated field is preferred.
- Demonstrated successful, progressive management experience, with increasing levels of responsibility and direct reports.
- Strong, demonstrated experience working as a proactive, strategic and efficient leader and team member.
- Solid experience with back office systems, POS systems and reporting.
- Prior experience with PDI is preferred but not required.
- Must have a solid track record of having sound judgment when making operational decisions.
- Strong, effective problem-solving and leadership ability in crisis situations; proven experience in proactively gaining resolution to problems.
- Working knowledge of all convenience store and foodservice equipment as well as sanitation and environmental guidelines.
- Strong demonstrated success in handling multiple projects at a time in a very fast-paced environment.
- Capable of travel and overnight stays as required.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Ability to provide proof of authorization to work in the U.S if accepting an offer of employment
