SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Nyes Rd - Suite E office hosts all Cardiac/Vascular needs among the Penn State Health Nyes Road offices! This office typically sees 90 patients a day and operates primarily during the weekday.
The hired Registered Nurse – Attending will oversee a host of duties with performing Nuclear studies including Isotope Injections, assist in Exercise Tolerance/Stress ECHO/other Cardiac tests, performing and interpreting EKGs, triaging walk-in patients and rooming scheduled patients, as well as reviewing the Crash Cart Checklist daily. Administrative tasks will include form completion, prior authorizations, patient education, and EMR documentation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES: The percentage of time spent performing essential functions is 95%. Qualified individuals must have the ability (with or without reasonable accommodation) to perform the following duties:
- Serve as a professional nurse by assessing, planning, directing, practicing, and evaluating patient care in a designated group practice.
- Administer medications to patients and monitor patients for reactions or side effects.
- Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records.
- Record patients' medical information and vital signs.
- Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients' conditions.
- Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, or evaluate patient care plans.
- Modify patient treatment plans as indicated by patients' responses and conditions.
- Prepare patients for and assist with examinations or treatments. Instruct individuals, families, or other groups on topics such as health education, disease prevention, or childbirth and develop health improvement programs
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
- Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse by state of employment or holds a multistate RN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact.
- One (1) year experience in an acute or ambulatory care setting required.
- BLS/ACLS required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):
- Cardiology, heart and vascular experience preferred.
