Are you calm under pressure, committed to helping others, and ready to deliver outstanding customer service? As a Health Care Security Officer, you'll play a key role in maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff.


What You'll Do

• Perform regular patrols of the facility, ensuring only authorized access to secure areas
• Monitor the Emergency Department, focusing on access control for patient and staff safety
• Screen individuals entering the department by asking questions to verify the legitimacy of their visit
• Greet patients and visitors with questions like “Where are you headed today?” or “Are you here to visit a doctor?”
• Notify on-site security immediately in the case of emergencies
• Assist with patient watch duties as needed
• Report incidents involving potential violence or aggression to the Manager promptly

You're a Great Fit If You:

• Hold a valid BC Security License
• Are physically fit for daily interior and exterior patrols
• Deliver exceptional customer service with a friendly smile

Certificate Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Occupational Health and Safety (or related) field

Certification Requirements (All)

Valid BC Security Licence
Valid Class 5 BC Drivers License
OFA I
