Job Skills / Requirements OUR NEXT OPPORTUNITY: Health Care Security Officer

As a Health Care Security Officer, you excel under pressure, delivering exceptional customer service with a friendly demeanor. Your strong written communication skills enable you to write detailed incident reports and utilize PPE effectively.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Regularly patrol the facility, ensuring all entries to secure areas are authorized.
• Monitor the Emergency Department, focusing on access control to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
• Screen individuals entering the department, asking questions to verify the legitimacy of their visit.

Duties Include:

• Greet patients and visitors, asking questions such as, "Where are you headed today?" and "Are you here to visit a doctor?"
• Notify on-site security in emergencies.
• Assist with patient watch duties as needed.
• Inform the Manager of any incidents involving potential violence or aggression.

Location: Ft. St. James - Hospital
Wage: $26.75
Shift/Hours Required: Days/Evenings/Overnights

YOU'RE A GREAT FIT IF YOU:

• Hold a valid BC Security License.
• Are physically fit for daily interior and exterior patrols.
• Provide exceptional customer service with a friendly smile.
• Are eligible to work in Canada (bonus points if you love maple syrup!).

Certificate Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Occupational Health and Safety (or related) field

Certification Requirements (Any)

Valid BC Security Licence
Standard First Aid, CPR Level C
OFA I
Valid Class 5 License
