Averaging Agreement: Overtime is Averaging Agreement (AA) after 88 hours Pay Rate: $24.21 /hr.

Job Description: In this key role, you will oversee a state of the art healthcare Control Centre. Your role will be to monitor numerous systems including fire and life safety, access control and CCTV. You will assist in tracking and deployment of security staff and handle a variety of dispatch duties including incident call taking.
- Dispatch Security Guards to incidents, requests for assistance, emergencies, etc.
- Maintain control of access to and from the property
- Log details of radio transmission, telephone calls and verbal instructions
- Direct back-up support as necessary
- Inform management of major incidents
- Maintain the Camera Surveillance System
- Answer all incoming security telephone lines including the complex emergency telephone line.
- Ensure that security operations occur consistent with policy and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Must demonstrate a high degree of professionalism
- Must have at least 1-2 years of prior dispatch or industry-related experience
- Experience in healthcare is considered an asset**
- Must have a strong command and fluency in the English language both written and verbal
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment
- Must be able to handle stress and pressure and make a sound decision under duress
- Must demonstrate high attention to detail / observational awareness
- Must demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence and the ability to work productively and efficiently in a team
- A minimum 1-2 years of dispatch experience
- A working knowledge of the Occupational Health & Safety Act
- Knowledge of Trespass to Property Act
- Previous dispatch experience in the emergency services setting such as Police, Fire, EMS
- Immunization Record (Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, TB skin test 1 & 2)
- A Valid Ontario Security Guard License
- First Aid and CPR Level C
- 2 COVID-19 Vaccinations proof
- Proficient in English (both oral and written)
- Must possess a valid G Class driver's license
- Minimum driving experience of 3 to 5 years
- Must provide driver's abstract
- No more than 2 minor convictions, no major convictions, and no more than 6 demerits in the last three years.
- Must be able to commute to Toronto for pre-deployment training (4 training days M-F)
- Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB) from ASP provider. Other security providers different than the ASP will not be allowed and applicant will have to enroll into Paladin's UoF/MOAB training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position.
- Please be aware: The UoF/MOAB training is not paid as it is a pre-requisite, however Paladin will cover all of the costs of the training and will provide you with their certification upon succesful completion with a 6 month commitment to the position availability.
