SALARY: Grade17 $54,517/Annually (NEGOTIABLE)
POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible to lead the Table Games Team and Class III Table Games activities which includes Pit Managers, Floor Persons, and Table Games Dealers. This position will also oversee Poker Class II and Poker Dealers. Manage the daily operations of Table Games ensuring open communication, Team performance expectations, and Guest satisfaction on assigned shift. Provide support and assistance to the Table Games Manager.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide excellent customer service for all internal and external customers in all Gaming entities at all times and in all activities. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all internal and external customers of Oneida Gaming operations. Develop solutions for customer concerns and continually focus on customer service as our top priority.
- Continually assess and analyze all work performance activities for the purpose of continually improving the Table Games area. Ensure work activities get done and are in place. Ensure people are aligned to get results established in all areas. Make improvements as needed and recommend needed improvements to all Table Games personnel.
- Ensure all Table Games personnel understand their duties and responsibilities and have the resources available to carry them out. Establish performance measures for all Table Games activities. Monitor work performance and take corrective actions to ensure the responsibilities of personnel are carried out. Ensure all Table Games personnel adhere to all established Personnel Policies and Procedures and department Standard Operating Procedures.
- Develop, maintain, and facilitate an effective communication process for Table Games personnel. Ensure Table Games operations generate reports for appropriate personnel in a timely manner. Ensure established procedures
- and processes are utilized at all times to ensure maximum understanding and coordination is in place. Conduct regular department meetings to ensure effective communication takes place.
- Ensure employee performance reviews, counseling, development, and recognition activities are used effectively.
- Ensure personnel adhere to personnel policies and procedures and departmental standard operating procedures. Provide re-training as needed and recommend improvements to the Table Games Manager as necessary.
- Ensure supervision and conduct of the Table Games Department on assigned shift. Review and ensure accuracy of daily profit/loss paperwork, i.e., reviewing daily figures, status for profit and loss of tables, and report results to management in a timely manner.
- Ensure Pit Managers are properly completing the paperwork and filing in a timely manner.
- Responsible for staffing and scheduling Team Members (planning, assigning, and directing work) to meet business demands that change with seasonality and special events to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Provide the safeguarding of assets, including protection of unused cards and dice conduct of games and procedures according to game rules and enforcement of management policy and gaming regulations.
- Evaluate and make determination when to open/close tables and when to increase/decrease table limits.
- Supervise Pit Managers on their shift to include evaluations, scheduling, disciplinary actions, hiring, training, orientation, approving KRONOS, and employee motivation. Complete Table Games Department KRONOS updates and transmit within set timelines.
- Investigate and respond to all reports that pertain to the Table Games Department.
- Assist in the review, development, and recommendation of Department Standard Operating Procedures for the Table Games Department.
- Maintain a list of new employees attending department and general orientations and training as directed.
- Assess training needs of the Table Games Department to the Table Games Manager and develop programs in conjunction with the Training Department.
- Demonstrate leadership skills in the support of Oneida Casino's Mission, Vision, and Values and instill in subordinates the value to do the same.
- Assist the Marketing Department as needed for special events in the Table Games Department, i.e., tournaments, promotions, etc.
- Receive and respond to all guest inquiries and complaints that relate to the Table Games Department. Investigate players complaint, determine basis of grievance, and address staff involved. Issue apology and appropriate comp needed within authority to retain patron.
- Demonstrate excellent facilitation and intermediary skills in resolving conflicts between any combination of Team members and/or patrons
STANDARD QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge of principles and practices of public relations and customer service.

- Must adhere to strict confidentiality in all matters. (Must sign a confidentiality statement prior to employment.)
- Must be willing and able to obtain additional education and training.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screening. Must adhere to the Nation's Drug and Alcohol-Free Workplace Policy during the course of employment.
- Must pass a background security check with the Oneida Nation in order to meet the Employment Eligibility Requirements, Tribal/State Compact and/or Oneida Nation Gaming Ordinance as they pertain to the position. A temporary license or Gaming License issued by the Oneida Gaming Commission is required as a condition of employment and continuing employment within the Oneida Nation's Gaming Division.
- A valid driver's license or occupational driver's license, reliable transportation, and insurance are required. Must obtain a Wisconsin driver's license or occupational driver's license within thirty (30) days of employment if applicant has an out-of-state driver's license. Must be authorized as eligible to operate a personal vehicle under the Oneida Nation's Vehicle Driver Certification and Fleet Management Law prior to actual start date. Must maintain driver's eligibility as a condition of employment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Two (2) years of Table Games experience.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be eighteen (18) years of age.
- Must be an enrolled member of the Oneida Nation.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field plus three (3) years of management or supervisory work experience in gaming operations; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
PHYSICAL REQUIRMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Frequently sit for extended periods, use hands to finger, handle, reach with hands and arms, and talk and hear.
- Occasionally stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and lift and/or move up to twenty-five (25) pounds.
- Work environment may NOT be smoke, noise, or dust-free.
- Evening, graveyard, holiday and/or weekend work or extended hours and irregular shifts may be required.
- Must provide a copy of Diploma, License, Degree or Certification upon employment.
