Dealer/Floor Person- Dual Rate: (PART-TIME 19 HOURS)
(Dealer: $15.00/Hr Plus Tips/Floor Person: $26.37/hr )
After successful completion of the probationary period, employee will receive off probation wage increase.

After one (1) year of Dealing experience, you will be required to rotate and perform the job duties of the Floor Person as needed/required.

Shift Differential: 
Monday-Thursday (6pm to 6am)  + $1.00 per hour worked
Friday 4pm to Saturday 4am       + $3.00 per hour worked
Saturday (4am to 4pm)                + $2.00 per hour worked
Saturday (4pm to 4am)                + $3.00 per hour worked 
Sunday 4am to Monday 6am       + $2.00 per hour worked


POSITION SUMMARY:

DEALER: Conduct assigned game according to Oneida procedures. Exchange cash for gaming chips, deal multiple card games, and provide quality customer service within the policies, procedures, and expectations of the Table Games Department.

FLOOR PERSON: Assist the Pit Managers in the basic functions of the casino pit operations.  Observe casino dealers in operation to ascertain the policies and procedures are being adhered to in the Table Games area. Oversee and designate tables to the Casino dealers and ensure proper colored cards and dice are distributed for the daily operation of casino card games and provide accurate Player Tracking.


DEALER

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide excellent customer service for all internal and external customers of the Table Games operations at all times and in all activities.  Promote the Table Games to all patrons.  Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all internal and external customers of the Oneida Casino.  Provide solutions for customer concerns and continually focus on customer service as the top priority.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements in all areas at all times.  Adhere to established quality, service delivery, customer service, and customer demand expectations.  Adhere to all audit, and legal regulations/laws and practices.
  • Exchange currency for gaming chips and pay or collect bets according to departmental policy and in an accurate manner.
  • Inform the Supervisor of any special requests or unusual play.
  • Sign and tabulate reconciliation forms for overall accountability.
  • Ensure game protection. 
  • Deal an assortment of Table Games as assigned by supervisor.
  • Safeguard company assets.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • One (1) year Table Games dealing experience.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older.
  • High School Diploma, GED Diploma, or HSED Certification is required within one (1) year of employment. (Must be enrolled in a GED Program prior to the end of probationary period and provide documentation to the HRD Office for employment personnel file.) Applicant's age fifty (50) and older are exempt from this requirement.


FLOOR PERSON

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist the Pit Managers in overseeing that all games are conducted within Department Standard Operating Procedures and National Indian Gaming Association (NIGA) regulations.
  • Resolve any conflicts which arise during the operation of the games.  Maintain game integrity and player tracking and overseeing the operation of 1-6 gaming tables.
  • Recommend to Pit Managers when additional tables need to be opened to accommodate customer demand.
  • Track Table Game players play to include monies bet, descriptions of players, level of play, Players Club Members, and complete Title 31 information as needed. Ensure accurate player tracking of all Title 31 transactions that may occur in the pit.
  • Designate tables to the Casino dealers and ensure proper colored cards and dice are distributed for daily operation.
  • Assist in the daily inventory of retrieving the correct number of cards and dice from the card room to the pit area for the start of the table game operations; and to also return the remaining inventory of cards and dice to card room at end of shift.
  • Access pit keys daily to complete count and open/close Table Games.
  • Utilize the player tracking system to promote increased participation in the players club and sign-up new members to the Players Club and print Player Club cards as needed for guests.
  • Complete fill and credit for Casino tables.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older.
  • High School Diploma, GED Diploma, or HSED Certification is required within one (1) year of employment. (Must be enrolled in a GED Program prior to the end of probationary period and provide documentation to the HRD Office for employment personnel file.) Applicant's age fifty (50) and older are exempt from this requirement.
  • One (1) year dealing experience all major games including Blackjack, Carnival Games, and Roulette.
  • Must have good math skills. (Must pass a Floor Person Payout Test).
  • Must be able to successfully pass an Audition to ensure proficiency.

DEALER/FLOOR PERSON

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • Frequently stand for extended periods; use hands to handle, reach with hands and arms.
  • Occasionally stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and lift and/or move up to twenty- five (25) pounds.
  • Employee must be able to spend a significant amount of time twisting and turning with upper extremities extended across gaming table with repetitive motions.
  • Employee must be able to speak, hear, and smell. Must have depth perception and peripheral vision. Must be able to see near, far, and in color.
  • Work environment may NOT be smoke, noise, or dust-free.
  • A Tuberculosis (TB) Screening and/or a 2 step TB Skin Test is required within thirty (30) days of employment.

STANDARD QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Knowledge of positive public relations and providing exemplary customer service.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Blackjack and various Table Games.
  • Skill in accurately recording numbers and payouts.
  • Ability to communicate, read and write clearly in basic English.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations while maintaining positive guest satisfaction.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that will include nights, weekends and holidays. Ability to work overtime when assigned.
  • Ability to perform duties in a professional and positive manner.
  • Ability to demonstrate outstanding guest service at all times.
  • Ability to deal the game of Blackjack in a quick, friendly, and accurate manner.
  • Must adhere to strict confidentiality in all matters. (Must sign a confidentiality statement prior to employment.)
  • Must be willing and able to obtain additional education and training.

  • Must pass a background security check with the Oneida Nation in order to meet the Employment Eligibility Requirements, Tribal/State Compact and/or Oneida Nation Gaming Ordinance as they pertain to the position. A temporary license or Gaming License issued by the Oneida Gaming Commission is required as a condition of employment and continuing employment within the Oneida Nation's Gaming Division.
