The Department of Emergency Medicine at North Shore University Hospital invites applications and nominations for a new Associate Chair. The Associate Chair will assist in managing and directing emergency medicine services and provide senior leadership of hospital-based services in the department. They will provide day to day strategic oversight and set overall goals, ensuring the advancement of the organization's missions. As a leader in an academic hospital, they will promote medical education to medical students and residents and encourage research activities within the department.
The successful candidate will have exceptional communication and management skills with an ability to work collaboratively and build relationships with medical staff, multiple stakeholders, executive leadership, and other leaders in the healthcare organization. It requires an experienced clinical director who will develop and support common goals and visions in a dynamic, inclusive culture.

Emergency Medicine at North Shore University Hospital
The Department of Emergency Medicine at North Shore University Hospital is an academic tertiary care center that treats over 75,000 patients a year with 76 beds. As an ACS-verified Level 1 trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, advanced emergency observation unit, 24-hour coronary intervention center, a separate pediatric unit, and 24-hour radiology coverage, the department is equipped to handle any medical or surgical emergency.

Full-time clinical base compensation at Northwell Health ranges from $125K to $750K, which is impacted by various factors, including but not limited to physician specialty, level of experience, quality of care, academic accomplishments, patient experience and productivity.
