Job Details
• Urgent Need for Experience Ultrasound Tech
• Performs diagnostic imaging using ARDMS protocols for the following exams: OB/GYN; abdomen; pelvic and endovaginal; small parts including breast, thyroid, and scrotum; vascular, including DVT, arterial legs, carotids.
• Receives patients, explains procedures, and selects appropriate equipment to ensure good patient care.
• Echocardiography is a plus.
• Performs office jobs in a small department including, but not limited to: scheduling patients exams, printing reports, retrieving charts, researching problems, ordering supplies, copying and mailing exams to various facilities, and helping providers.
• Collaborates with SEARHC staff to create a positive working environment.
• Documentation of QA and QC for SEARHC imaging modalities.
• Documents: high level disinfection, and other information per Joint Commission regulations.

Job Requirements
• Education: Associates degree with certification in diagnostic sonography.
• Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound program preferred.
• Experience: 1 year Ultrasound experience.

Unit Specific Information
• Extensive knowledge of the anatomy and physiology used in standard ultrasound.
• Skilled at independently performing ultrasound.
• Skilled in oral and written communication.
• Skilled in organizing and cleaning work areas and maintaining equipment in serviceable condition.
• Able to work cooperatively and communicate effectively with radiologists, providers, patients, computer technologists, and SEARHC staff.
