- Urgent Need for Experience Ultrasound Tech
- Performs diagnostic imaging using ARDMS protocols for the following exams: OB/GYN; abdomen; pelvic and endovaginal; small parts including breast, thyroid, and scrotum; vascular, including DVT, arterial legs, carotids.
- Receives patients, explains procedures, and selects appropriate equipment to ensure good patient care.
- Echocardiography is a plus.
- Performs office jobs in a small department including, but not limited to: scheduling patients exams, printing reports, retrieving charts, researching problems, ordering supplies, copying and mailing exams to various facilities, and helping providers.
- Collaborates with SEARHC staff to create a positive working environment.
- Documentation of QA and QC for SEARHC imaging modalities.
- Documents: high level disinfection, and other information per Joint Commission regulations.
- Job Requirements
- Education: Associates degree with certification in diagnostic sonography.
- Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound program preferred.
- Experience: 1 year Ultrasound experience.
- Unit Specific Information
- Extensive knowledge of the anatomy and physiology used in standard ultrasound.
- Skilled at independently performing ultrasound.
- Skilled in oral and written communication.
- Skilled in organizing and cleaning work areas and maintaining equipment in serviceable condition.
- Able to work cooperatively and communicate effectively with radiologists, providers, patients, computer technologists, and SEARHC staff.
