The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai affiliated with NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst, serving the culturally diverse community of Western Queens, is seeking a part time (8 hours per week) board certified/board eligible Surgical Retina Specialist to join the growing Division of Ophthalmology at Elmhurst Hospital Center in Elmhurst, New York.

We are seeking a retina specialist with expertise in caring for complex pathology in a diverse patient population in the outpatient clinic setting and in the operating room. There are a wide variety of opportunities for program development and academic advancement in the areas of quality & safety and medical education. The hospital is easily accessible by public transportation and car from all areas of New York City, New Jersey and Long Island.

Candidates must have an MD degree and be board certified/board eligible in Ophthalmology and fellowship trained in surgical retina with a valid New York State License, DEA and Medicaid number. Creative scholarship is also required. Candidates should also have experience in resident education and exemplary patient care. Medical fluency in additional languages is helpful but not a requirement. We offer a faculty appointment with the Icahn School of Medical at Mount Sinai commensurate with credentials, experience and qualifications. The base salary for this position is $75,773 and faculty practice distributions throughout the academic year.
