Job Requirements
• 2 years of experience
• Hold an active BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN, STABLE, NIH and CA License
• need 2 sup refs (charge accepted) at submittal; 1 w/in 12 mo. & 1 w/in 3 years worked
• Med Sol prescreens
• Modules are required to be done before start of assignment. Modules take on average 3-4 hours to complete-this time is not billable to the hospital.

Schedule Information
• 12 hr shifts. Shift starts 645. Report is at the bedside
• OT and extra shifts are available
• Self-scheduling is used, but is not finalized until Manager balances it
• Schedules are out 4 weeks
• Travelers can access their schedules from home and make themselves 'available' for extra shifts and make trades with other staff
• Block scheduling is generally not available
• Every other weekend
• Rotate in with core staff

Unit Specific Information
• Ratios: 1:2 L&D, 1:1 delivery. 1:4 Mother/Baby couplets
• - EMR: Cerner
• - Tele: Yes, must be able to read and interpret EKG strips
• - Vents: No
• - Floor specific orientation: 1 - 2 days on the floor with preceptor

• Modules are required to be done before start of assignment. Modules take on average 3-4 hours to complete-this time is not billable
• For Holiday RTO: Travelers will work 2 of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years). Unit managers will make the final call on scheduling. **Holiday time off will be considered, however not guaranteed**
• Common diagnosis / Types of patients: Term, preterm, some high risk. Also have antepartum population
• Hospital is designated 'baby friendly'. Excellent breast feeding support.
