Qualifications:

  • Required Education:
    - Minimum of bachelors degree in Psychology, Education, Applied Behavior Analysis, Speech and Hearing Services, or related field.
  • Required Certification:
    - Must obtain within 90 days of hire and maintain certification as a Registered Behavior Technician as issued by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)
    - Must obtain within 7 days of hire and maintain BLS/CPR certification
    - Must hold and maintain certification in MANDT
    - Must obtain NPI number for Behavior Technician
    - Must obtain and maintain Tricare certification
    - Must obtain and maintain Mercy credential
  • Required Experience/Knowledge:
    - Knowledge of child development
    - At least 1 year of experience working with children with a diagnosis of autism
    - Experience working with children who may demonstrate aggressive behaviors

Overview:

Under the general direction of the assigned BCBA, BCaBA, and/or certified ESDM therapist, the RBT will provide clinical instruction and behavior reduction principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to children with autism and other related disorders, as well as assist in the development of materials to enhance the patients learning experience. The RBT will communicate with their assigned patients family to share progress as it occurs to promote continuity of implementation of intervention strategies. The RBT will maintain regular communication with their assigned BCBA, BCaBA, and/or certified ESDM therapist.
