Overview:
The Registered Polysomnographic Technologist-Lead works under the direct supervision of the Director-Sleep Services and the indirect supervision of the Medical Director of Sleep Medicine and the Vice President-Operations to provide comprehensive oversight of the Sleep Center technicians on day or night shift. There is one designated Day Shift RPSGT Lead staff member and all other Lead RPSGT staff members will work primarily on night shift. Duties include oversight of all aspects related to the hook-up, testing, positive pressure therapy titration, mask fitting, patient education and adherence to emergency and patient/staff safety on day or night shift. The key to success will be open communication and the involvement of the technicians in trouble-shooting computer problems, titration strategies, direction setting, performance improvement, ensuring customer satisfaction and decision making.
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Certifications: Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technology as a Registered Polysomnography Technologist (RPSGT) certification required. American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) within 3 months of hire.
