Our Primary Care Nurse (PCN) position is a newly created role for Mercy primary care clinics. In this position, the nurse will work closely with the providers (Doctors and APPs) to manage triage calls, patient messages, and medication refills for the clinic.
LPN Qualifications:
Education: Diploma in Practical Nursing
Licensure: Active LPN license
Experience: 2-3 years of experience preferred.
RN Qualifications:
Education: Associate of Applied Science in Registered Nursing, Graduation from registered nursing program, Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN), OR 4 years of commensurate experience in lieu of the bachelor's degree
Licensure: Active RN license
Experience: 2-3 years of experience preferred.
Highly Preferred Skills:
- ***Proficiency with Epic EMR system (especially clinic experience)***
- Timely and thorough patient triage skills.
- Computer competency (most of this position will be computer work).
- Excellent time management and prioritization.
- Adaptability in a new and changing environment.
