Overview:

 

The Paralegal III position provides paralegal support with general supervision to all law department Counsel under general supervision. This position will perform complex paralegal work including contract and document review and analysis, completion of contracts, oversight of the due diligence process for transactions, assistance with preparing responses to discovery requests, oversight of the process for uploading and maintenance of contracts and forms and related reports. This position will have direct contact with business or operations co-workers as well as outside counsel. The clients of a Paralegal III will primarily be the attorneys in the legal department, and a limited number of business or operations co-workers.


Qualifications:

 

  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in a related field or Paralegal certification; 2 years of commensurate experience may be considered in lieu of the degree or certification in addition to the required experience.
  • Certification: A recognized Paralegal certification is preferred.
  • Experience:
    • 5 years paralegal experience in a corporate law office or law firm;
    • Health law experience preferred
    • Contracts and contract management experience preferred
  • Other skills & knowledge:
    • Meticulous attention to detail.
    • Computer literacy with advanced skills in Excel, Word, Westlawand Lexis.
    • Superior goal accomplishment skills and project managementexperience.
    • Excellent oral, written, presentation and administrative skills.
    • Ability to preserve confidential information.
    • Strong interpersonal communication and organization skills,ability to manage conflict in a variety of situations.
    • Effective leadership skills and strong customer serviceorientation.
    • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups andpersonalities with a high degree of diplomacy, credibility andacceptance.
    • Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment and to manage multiple projects within established time frames.
    • Ability to travel as required.
