Overview:

Responsible for providing skilled nursing services to patients in their homes under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse. Mustassess, plan, implement and evaluate patients needs and care. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with ourmission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.


Qualifications:

Experience: Prefer one year experience in a related field.
Licensure: Current LPN license in the state of Missouri. Must be a licensed driver.
Certifications: BLS CPR Certification through American Heart Association is required.

Other skills & knowledge: Complies with accepted professional standards and principles. Understands Hospice philosophy; issues related to death/dying and grief. Complies with Unity Health Hospice Health Status requirements. Has ability to provide good written documentation in a timely manner. Is flexible and cooperative in fulfilling role obligation and has ability to work within an interdisciplinary team. Employee has significant impact on patient welfare. Effects or errors in determining patient condition or administering medication could be critical. Employee is frequently to continuously alone with patient and must be able to handle emergencies without assistance.
