The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience working in an ophthalmology or optometry practice, and will play a crucial role in supporting our Ophthalmologists in providing exceptional care. Primary Duties:
· Assist ophthalmology physicians with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including scribing and performing various tests like visual field exams, OCT, ocular pressures, and A/B scans.
· Maintain supply inventory, ensure proper handling, cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization of instruments.
· Assist with patient assessments, documentation of medical history, and ensure accuracy in pre-procedure records.
· Participate in quality improvement teams, maintain patient records for medications, and support community outreach efforts as needed.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or GED required
· 1+ years of experience working in an ophthalmology or optometry practice is required
· Graduation from an accredited Ophthalmic Technician program is preferred
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals
