MedStar Georgetown University Hospital, located in Washington, D.C. is seeking an Academic Hospitalist to join our team! We are looking for physicians who are passionate about teaching the next generation of physicians and who are dedicated to education and excellence in patient care. Great candidates should possess excellent teaching and communication skills and have an interest in scholarly activities and lifelong learning. Opportunities for growth and development in program leadership may be available.
Requires MD degree or equivalent plus three years of ABIM-recognized Internal Medical residency, valid Maryland medical license, and American Board certification (or eligibility) in Internal Medicine. Interest in quality improvement, POCUS, and curriculum development is a plus.
This is a daytime position with hours that vary based on clinical duties and anticipate that up to 100% of the shifts will be on a teaching team. This position comes with a Georgetown University School of Medicine academic appointment.
