The Provider Credentialing & Data Records Coordinator position allows you the flexibility to work hybrid as long as you reside within a 50-mile radius of the Brooklyn, OH Medical Mutual office.

Provides administrative support to the Provider Credentialing and Data Management department.  Maintains physical and electronic files and record keeping systems and administrative processes and procedures. 

Responsibilities

  • Produces and distributes internal and external correspondence including memos, faxes, letters and forms; Create, prepares and distributes regularly scheduled reports.
  • Creates and generates letters for both standard and non-standard credentialing notifications.
  • Updates provider statuses based on committee decisions and inputs credentialing information in provider data systems.
  • Provides administrative support for department Manager, Supervisor, Credentialing Chairperson, Delegation Reviewer and Credentialing Committee.
  • Oversees, manages and reconciles credit card and other departmental invoices; monitors available funds on open purchase orders and ensures proper level of funding available.
  • Prepares internal documents related to management of departmental contracts; LDERs, corporate funds and purchase requisition processes.  Creates and maintains systems for tracking of contracts, vendor performance, key issues and renewal dates.
  • Acts as a central contact and liaison with other departments, providers, vendors and outside agencies. Manages incoming and external telephonic communications.
  • Obtains education, board certification and licensed primary source documentation per departmental policy.
  • Posts updated content to the departmental SharePoint sites.
  • Collects and distributes department mail.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Associates Degree in Business or Healthcare Administration or related field, or equivalent combination of education/training (minimum high school diploma or GED) and experience.
  • 2 years of experience in health insurance operations or equivalent general office experience in the health care industry.

Technical Skills and Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of provider credentialing and/or database management procedures.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), database reporting, OnBase (document management system), and internet navigation skills. Basic proficiency with any of the following: Visio, Adobe Professional, RightFax, WebEx, and SharePoint.
  • Strong data entry skills.
  • Solid research skills.
