The Operations Data Analyst III position allows you the flexibility to work at home as long as you reside within a 50-mile radius of the Toledo, OH Medical Mutual office.

Under limited supervision, analyzes operations data (e.g., claims, membership, provider, call, and inventory data) to answer client questions, measure the effectiveness of business decisions, and identify opportunities for improvement. Utilizes prior knowledge to solve moderately complex problems. Possesses intermediate to advanced data analysis/statistical knowledge and skills. Participates on functional teams to complete projects. Presents analysis results to department leadership.

Responsibilities

·    Collects, synthesizes, and analyzes operations data from various sources to answer client questions, measure the effectiveness of business decisions, and identify opportunities for improvement.

·    Builds and maintains reports for internal teams.

·    Creates visualizations and/or presentations to share results with a variety of audiences including colleagues, clients, department leadership, etc..

·    Participates on functional teams to complete projects.

·    Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

·  Bachelor's degree in statistics, applied mathematics, data analysis, or related field. Master's degree preferred.

·  3 years of data/statistical analysis experience, preferably in health insurance or other financial services.

Technical Skills and Knowledge:

·  Intermediate to advanced programming (SQL and SAS), visualization (Power BI and Tableau), and Microsoft Office skills.

·  Enhanced to full understanding of relevant data (including structures, definitions, and relationships).

·  Ability to define business requirements without assistance and ask clarifying questions.

·  Ability to effectively communicate with department leadership.
