Medical Mutual is seeking a talented Provider Contracts Attorney to join our dynamic organization. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a team that provides exceptional legal counsel and support. As a Provider Contracts Attorney at Medical Mutual, you will play a crucial role in identifying and researching provider contracts, legal issues, analyzing, and assessing risks. Draft and review key provider contracting documents. Present clear recommendations and hands-on counsel to all levels of executive and management. Provider contract and or managed care experience preferred. The role is hybrid and location is Medical Mutual's Brooklyn, OH headquarters. 

Responsibilities

Identifies and analyzes legal issues, analyzes, and assesses risk, and presents clear recommendations and hands-on counsel to all levels of executive staff and management.

Work independently to provide the corporation and its subsidiaries with legal advice, risk analysis, service, and representation in various environments, including courts, administrative hearings, and internal and external meetings and negotiations.

Develops standard documents and procedures to protect the corporation and minimize risks, and further corporate interests. Develops compliance guidelines for relevant federal, state, and local laws and regulations.



Qualifications

Level I Requirements: Requires a J.D. degree, 3 years of law firm and or legal experience, and admission to practice law in Ohio. Law firm and provider or payer experience preferred. Must have the ability to research and apply legal principles, solve problems, and occasionally travel to offsite locations.

Level II Requirements: Requires a Juris Doctor degree, 5 years of law firm and or legal experience, and admission to practice law in Ohio. Law firm experience preferred. Experience in provider or payor contracting required. Must have the ability to research and apply legal principles, solve problems, and occasionally travel to offsite locations.

Level III Requirements: Requires a J.D. degree, at least 8 years of law firm and or legal experience, and admission to practice law in Ohio. Law firm experience preferred. 5-10 years of provider or payor contracting required. Law firm experience required. Must have the ability to research and apply legal principles, solve problems, and occasionally travel to offsite locations.
