EXPERIENCE
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales operations, commercial operations, or related roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership position.

• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
• Proficiency in CRM systems and sales analytics tools.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.


EDUCATION
• Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).

Compensation: $162,000 - $202,000

Location: Fully Remote, must be in the United States 

Hours: Full Time Days

What to Expect:

 

The Senior Director, Commercial Operations plays a crucial role in designing and executing the Matrix commercial transformation. This teammate is responsible for leading and optimizing the commercial operations function to drive sales growth, operational efficiency, and strategic alignment across the organization. This role involves leading a team of professionals, collaborating with various departments, and implementing processes and technologies to enhance sales performance and support client needs. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated expertise in building, implementing, and optimizing the process, tools, and resources required to generate superior, sustainable sales results and culture.

 

Responsibilities:

 

1. Leadership and Strategy
• Develop and execute the commercial operations strategy aligned with the company's overall
business objectives.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing commercial operations team.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to set sales priorities, targets, budgets, and key performance
indicators (KPIs).


2. Sales Operations
• Oversee sales planning, forecasting, and performance analysis.
• Implement and manage sales processes, tools, technologies (e.g., CRM systems), and incentives
to improve sales efficiency and effectiveness.
• Ensure accurate and timely reporting of sales metrics and performance.


3. Operational Efficiency
• Streamline commercial processes to enhance efficiency and improve revenue and profitability.
• Implement best practices in sales operations, customer service, and order management.
• Ensure alignment between commercial operations and other departments (e.g., marketing,
finance, supply chain).


4. Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
• Optimize the use of CRM systems to enhance customer data management and sales activities.
• Drive CRM adoption and ensure data accuracy and integrity.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve customer engagement and satisfaction.
• Integrate formal account planning into the customer relationship management process.


5. Proposal and Contract Design
• Develop and implement contracting and pricing strategies to maximize revenue and profitability.
• Facilitate proposal and offering design and contract negotiations while ensuring compliance with
company policies and legal requirements.
• Lead and optimize the Deal Desk process to facilitate cross-functional collaboration and
streamline review on new business opportunities.
• Manage relationships with key customers and partners to drive long-term business growth.


6. Talent Development
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the
commercial operations team.
• Identify training needs and provide opportunities for skill enhancement.
• Promote a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
