Qualifications

Must Haves:

 

EXPERIENCE

At least 3-5 years of experience in contract management, procurement, or a related field.

 

EDUCATION

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Law, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant certification (e.g., Certified Professional Contracts Manager - CPCM) is a plus.

 

CERTIFICATION/ LICENSES

Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM) is a plus

Contract Specialist. Primary location: Remote. Regular Shift. Work from Home Opportunity, Full-Time, Regular, Salaried 



Responsibilities

About the role:

 

Type: Full Time Salaried

Compensation: $76k-$114K

Location: Fully Remote, must be in the United States

Hours: Full Time Days

What to Expect:

 

The Contract Specialist will oversee the preparation and management of contracts with clients, vendors, and other parties. This role involves ensuring compliance with contract requirements, company policies, and industry standards. The Contract Specialist will work closely with various departments, including legal, finance, and procurement, to support the contract lifecycle from initiation to closure.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, draft, and review contracts, amendments, requests for proposal, requests for information, and renewals.
  • Facilitate contract terms with clients, vendors, and other parties. Resolve any disputes or issues that arise during the negotiation process.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure contract terms reflect business needs.
  • Serve as a point of contact for internal and external parties regarding contract-related inquiries. Collaborate with legal, procurement, finance, commercial, and other departments to address contract issues and implement improvements.
  • Ensure contracts comply with standards, regulations, and organizational policies. Identify and assess risks associated with contract terms and propose mitigation strategies.            
  • Monitor contract performance to ensure compliance with agreed-upon terms and conditions. Prepare regular reports on contract status, performance, and issues.   
  • Stay updated on industry trends, developments, and best practices related to contract management. Propose enhancements to contract management processes and tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness.         
  • Maintain and manage a central repository of contracts and related documents. Track key contract milestones, deadlines, service level agreements, and renewal dates. Provide timely updates and reports on contract status and performance to relevant stakeholders.           
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on contract-related matters and best practices. Stay updated on industry trends, legal changes, and best practices related to contract management.  
  • Other duties as assigned.
