Title and Summary
Senior Specialist, Business Operation OverviewThe Norwegian Interbank Clearing System (NICS) is one of the most critical services Mastercard operates in Norway. NICS is really the heart of the Norwegian payment ecosystem. It is crucial for a modern society that banks, businesses and individuals can transfer money between them. This is what inspire us every day at work.
We are hiring for a Senior Specialist within our Business Operation. This position will join an existing very dedicated team with decades of experience.
The main responsibility for this position and the team, is to follow the daily operation and act on any deviation or incident that might happen. It is of vital importance that procedures are followed and that everything is followed up immediately.
Due to this, the team forms an on-call team, with 24/7 (sleeping) duty every 3rd or 4th week. The team also has the responsibility to maintain operation procedures, handle operational communication between Mastercard and the banks and discuss enhancements and incidents with our technicians.
The position will be part of Mastercard Payment Services Infrastructure (MPSI). MPSI is the formal entity responsible for operation of NICS, and is fully integrated in Mastercard and part of Mastercard's journey into the area of account-to-account payments.
The Role
• Contribute to the secure and stable operation of NICS
• Follow up on customer, regulatory and market requirements
• Verify that all NICS tasks run according to schedule and SLA-requirements
• Maintain operational documentation
• Test and approve changes and improvements to NICS
• Help with onboarding and testing when banks do changes on their side.
• Regularly test our backup-solutions and -procedures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional team members in support of delivering the services, and secure good relations with all involved parties in Mastercard.
• Take part in dialogues related to NICS-operation, on a daily basis.
About you/Experience
• Have experience from the Norwegian payment sector, and preferably knowledge about Norwegian clearing and payment solutions
• Be a valid member of teams, have good communication skills and the ability to build relations within and outside of Mastercard
• Have experience in managing smaller projects or workstreams
• Have experience in working with internal colleagues across functions and job families. Preferably also have experience in leveraging internal resources, across multiple countries and markets
• Fluent in Norwegian and English.
