Title and Summary
Lead, Strategic Project Management (Technology Program Management) - Global Open Banking Overview:Mastercard is seeking an experienced Lead Strategic Project Management to join Mastercard's Global Open Banking PMO. this role, you'll drive the end-to-end execution of strategic business initiatives and global product solutions from ideation and design through go-to-market delivery for key Mastercard customers. You'll work across a variety of functional teams including product, engineering, sales, legal, compliance and customer delivery to build comprehensive and achievable project plans highlighting key milestones and dependencies. You'll manage the execution and delivery of all tasks required to achieve project success, identifying and mitigating risks and providing meaningful status reporting to internal and external stakeholders at all levels. Role:
• Manage large initiatives or mid-sized portfolios with independence and lean into ambiguity to create clarity of scope and key deliverables.
• Decompose complex initiatives into simple, straight-forward solutions by assessing business and technical trade-offs while working cross-functionally to deliver key product, technical and client-driven solutions to market.
• Drive mindful discussions with internal and external business and technical stakeholders that lead to timely decisions and resolution of roadblocks.
• Identify, communicate and resolve gaps between regions, architectures, and cross-functional teams. Create the appropriate sense of urgency for delivery of organizational priorities.
• Actively participate in the community sharing your Mastercard program management knowledge within the larger PMO, Product and Engineering teams, driving adoption and implementation of best practices to support business objectives.
• Build and cultivate strong internal relationships across all business functions and levels including program, product, engineering, delivery, legal, executive, etc.
• Maintain a positive, professional rapport in all interactions with strategic clients, partners and/or vendors, representing the organization by demonstrating Mastercard Way behaviors.
• Plan, track and drive all phases of the product/software development lifecycle for strategic client-facing, business, operational and technical initiatives from ideation through market delivery, ensuring objectives, goals, and commitments are met to deliver the intended business value.
• Identify and coordinate dependencies across various functional teams, elevate and resolve risks and roadblocks, and provide timely, concise communication and status reporting to key stakeholders and functional leaders.
All About You:
• Background in Technical Project Management, Program Management, Account Management and/or Product Development or similar.
• Ability to lead complex initiatives with independence and autonomy, leveraging guidance and support from peers and leaders when needed.
• Extensive experience delivering end-to-end product solutions leveraging the latest technologies, so you know where to look to find all the potential landmines.
• Excellent analytical, planning, and organizational skills with an ability to manage competing demands; Demonstrated strength in problem definition and resolution.
• Demonstrated application of software development lifecycle models as well as solid knowledge of both Agile and traditional project management principles and practices; ability to blend them together in the right proportions to fit a project and business environment.
• Strong understanding of business needs with the ability to establish/maintain high level of stakeholder trust and confidence.
• Creative approach to problem-solving with the ability to focus on details while maintaining the “big picture” view.
• Proven track record of data-driven decision making and applying continuous improvement methodologies across teams.
• Ability to recognize the need and flex between technical, detailed discussions and high-level overviews relevant to the specific audience.
• Demonstrated experience building organizational relationships, partnering with and influencing executive leadership while commanding the respect of cross-functional colleagues across the organization.
• Solid experience interacting with large-scale clients (including the biggest names in technology and financial services), building strong, professional relationships based on trust and transparency.
• Skilled in managing challenging personalities and diffusing interpersonal conflicts to ensure project teams operate in a healthy, productive environment.

Pay Ranges
Salt Lake City, Utah: $112,000 - $187,000 USDApply on company website
