Title and Summary

Documentation Manager / Technical Writer Overview
Mastercard Send, part of Mastercard Move, is an important part of our digital payments strategy. Our services facilitate the fast, simple, and secure delivery of funds between senders and receivers for a wide range of use cases, including person-to-person transfers, business disbursements, and merchant payments. Many well-known companies use Mastercard Send to provide funds transfer solutions for their consumers globally.
The Mastercard Send documentation team is looking for a Documentation Manager (technical writer) to produce and maintain clear, effective customer-facing API documentation and guidance for our platform and services. The ideal candidate is passionate about the customer experience.

Role
In this role, you will:
• Produce customer-facing technical and non-technical content for our API developer website, capturing evolving product capabilities and working with internal partners to publish to regular release cycles.
• Work with and enhance API specifications and do some API testing.
• Create and contribute to internal slide decks, documents, and wiki pages to help increase knowledge of our platform, systems and services internally.
• Ensure all documentation deliverables are produced to the expected quality, timeframes and standards.
• Work effectively with stakeholders and subject matter experts (some located remotely), sourcing information and driving content reviews.

All About You
The ideal candidate for this position should:
• Have proven software documentation skills and experience working with APIs and OpenAPI specification (YAML) files.
• Be a strong, confident writer and speaker, able to communicate well with stakeholders to get answers and drive reviews.
• Be skilled at explaining technical concepts succinctly and clearly, and able to troubleshoot independently.
• Have experience with Markdown, HTML, Confluence, and source repositories and related software, such as Azure, Git, and Bitbucket.
• Always be accountable for their work, driven to produce accurate best-in-class documentation in line with established standards and guidance.
• Have strong organization skills, be self-motivated and diligent, yet able to adapt when needed.
• Be proficient with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Visio (or related tools).
Advantageous:
• Experience documenting payment platforms or similar large systems.
• Working knowledge or background in the global payment industry, money transfer, a remittance business, or similar.
• Some coding knowledge, e.g. Java, and experience creating and adapting developer tutorials.
